This is summary fo the donations our club has made over the previous years:

Raising and providing funds for building and maintaining an orphanage in Bhuj, Gujarat in India, following the Earthquake in January 2001. This Home has now been running successfully for over 5 years providing accommodation, education and welfare for up to 50 boys from the ages of 7 to 15. Raising and providing funds for building and running a School in Nurpur, Punjab, India to provide Nursery and Primary education for around 110 children from the surrounding villages.

Organising the Annual Godiva Lions Eye Camps in India providing diagnosis for around 800 patients and in addition, arranging to cary out eye surgeries for around 100 patients from the surrounding villages. Manu other organisations, local, national and international have also benefited from the funds that we raise, helping to make a small, but vital different to the lives of those in need.

Amongst some of the local and overseas charities that we have supported in the past are Lord Mayor’s charities, Lady Godiva’s Charity, Coundon Care Centre, Sherbourne Fields School, Frank Walsh House Day Care, Foleshill Family Centre, Christmas Soup Kitchen, Walsgrave Hospital, Foster Care Association, Sahil Project, UK Flood Appeal, Fishermen’s Trust, Marie Curie Trust, Warwickshire Fireman, Hearing Dogs for the Blind, Baby Lifeline, Hereward College, Sewa Shakti Group, Coroners Cardiac, Diabetes UK, Air Ambulance, Child Safety Education Foundation, Niger Drought Appeal, Kenya Support Trust, LCIF Campaign II, SPA UK Mobile Eye Hospital, Medic Alert, Mombasa Appeal and many more…

In Addition to many smaller charities, we have also been able to donate substantial amounts of funds to Acorn Childrens’ Hospice National Children’s Trust, Walsgrave Hospital Cardiac Re-habilitation Unit, Cancer Bacup, Coventry Myton Hospice, NCH Children’s Charity, Cancer Research UK, Special Care Baby Unit at University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire, and most recently JDRF.

Some of the other projects that we have supported are the House building projects to assist the victims of the Tsunami Disaster, Central European Floods Disaster, Bangladesh Cyclone and Pakistan earthquake to name a few.

This has only been possible with the generosity and support of businesses, community members and well wishers, and tireless efforts of our Club members.
